Biographical Information:
 “Quality service with a velvet glove” is the motto in the office of Dennis Cleckner D.D.S., who has been active in the field of dentistry since 1982.  Dr. Cleckner and his team of dedicated staff work with each patient to implement a “life plan” for effective dental healthcare.   

Dr. Cleckner earned a bachelor degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and his DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry.  After graduation he completed a General Practice residency in dentistry at the Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia as well as served two years on the aircraft carrier USS Independence.  Today, Dr. Cleckner operates a successful private dental practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia and maintains active participation in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association, and the Tidewater Dental Association.  

Whether in his office or serving in the community, Dr. Cleckner is committed to excellence.  He currently works with Operation Blessing providing dental care to under-served areas in Virginia and has also spent time in New Orleans as part of the ADA Mission of Mercy team providing dental care to the thousands of people impacted by Hurricane Katrina.  Away from the office, Dr. Cleckner is an avid horticulturist.  He also enjoys quality time with his lovely wife, Carol and family.
