Biographical Information:
Dr. Ron Morin graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston, in 1972 and began general practice in San Antonio. Over the years, he has developed a strong interest in diagnostics, prevention and long-term treatment planning. His goal has always been to deliver quality care in a personalized environment where health and beauty come together. He and his experienced team enjoy building long-term relationships with patients who seek and appreciate individualized care.
Patient services extend to business as well as clinical areas, including timely insurance research and filing and helpful financial arrangements, enabling patients to receive the dentistry they want. He also feels privileged to coordinate treatment, when necessary, with a team of fine dental and medical specialists in the San Antonio area.
A Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and an alumnus of the Pankey Institute, Dr. Morin has earned over 900 hours of continuing education at seminars throughout the United States and in Canada. These courses have helped him to develop extensive experience in patient communication skills, diagnostics, periodontics (gum therapy), restorative, cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry and occlusion (bite analysis and function).
Presently, he is working on a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry. Active in his local community, Dr. Morin is a past president and current director of the San Antonio AGD Component. He is also a member of the San Antonio Forensic Mass Disaster Team, San Antonio District Dental Society Peer Review Committee, and participant in the annual San Fernando Health Fair. Other memberships include the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the American Equilibration Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Morin enjoys golf and tennis, fishing and boating on the Texas coast and lakes, classical music and oil painting.
He and spouse Beth have been married for 20 years and have two children, Katherine, who attends college, and David, a high school student. Pets include the family dog, Page, and two cats, Loner and Moxy.
