Dr. Major, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 1988.  Following dental school, Dr. Major completed a General Practice residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (Department of Family Medicine) in Greenville, N.C.  He has been practicing General Dentistry in Columbia since 1989.

Dr. Major is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The S.C. Dental Association and The Dental Diagnostic Study Club of Columbia.  Dr. Major believes in ongoing continuing education and is an active participant in the course curriculum at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

Dr. Major and his wife, Robin, are avid followers of the activities of their sons, Andrew and Evan.
