Biographical Information:
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree (B.A., English Literature) at the University of Pittsburgh, Matthew P. Patterson, D.M.D., began his dental training at Temple University’s School of Dentistry.
 
After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1985, he served for three years in the United States Navy, at NAS Pensacola, Florida.  His experiences were many and his further education rigorous.  His patients included the elite Blue Angels flight demonstration team, among others, and Dr. Patterson served aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S.Lexington.  While on shore, he was selected to advance his training in periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.
 
Dr. Patterson and his family returned to Lancaster in 1988 to enter private practice.  With an unswerving commitment to remaining at the leading edge of his profession, Dr. Patterson has aggressively pursued continuing education and training, both for himself and his staff.  The Pankey emphasis on individualized comprehensive care and clinical excellence meshes perfectly with his personal philosophy.
 
 
Dr. Patterson’s areas of special interest include Preventive Dentistry, Dental Implantology and Dental Aesthetics.  He maintains active membership in the A.D.A., Pennsylvania Dental Association, American Academy of Oral Medicine, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Lancaster County Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
 
Both Dr. Patterson and his wife, Sarah, share interests in music, athletics and the arts.  They have three terrific children and are active in the Lancaster Community.
