Biographical Information:
Dr. David Shuch graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 1983 and founded The Center for Integrative Dentistry http://www.centerforintegrativedentistry.com/ , located in northwestern New Jersey, in 1991. Dr. Shuch has been in the vanguard of appropriately combining the tools of alternative and complementary healthcare practices with scientifically based dental care. He was the first to publish in the dental literature (Dentistry Today, June 1995) on the benefits of using homeopathic remedies within the practice of dentistry and has lectured on incorporating complementary therapies into dental practice on both the local and national levels. In 1997, Dr. Shuch co-founded C.S. Bioscience, Inc., a company dedicated to bringing to the professional and consumer markets a line of oral healthcare products whose aim is to bring homeostatic balance to the ecosystem of the mouth and thus improve oral health. He won three U.S. patents for his key formulations and expects the NuPath professional product line and the Revitin consumer product line to be launched in 2008. Dr. Shuch is also a published author. His first book, “Doctor, Be Well: Integrating the Spirit of Healing with Scientific Medicine http://www.authorhouse.com/BookStore/ItemDetail~bookid~15606.aspx ” lays the groundwork for a broader view of alternative and conventional healthcare therapies and discusses aspects of bringing a more spiritual life into a professional healthcare practice. Doctor, Be Well is being used as a text in the Program in Integrative Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. His second book, “The Charm Carver http://www.thecharmcarver.com/ ”, an allegorical story about healing, won the Midwest Book Review’s Top Reviewer’s Choice Selection in January of 2006 and won a rave review by book review columnist Dennie Hall of the Oklahoman who called the writing, “Sublime”. Dr. Shuch maintains a full time practice at The Center for Integrative Dentistry, with a focus on bringing gums, the jaw joints and muscles, and the teeth into a state of optimum health and appearance.
