Biographical Information:
Dr. Fussell is a native of Ayden, North Carolina and received his
Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UNC School of
Dentistry in 1990 and completed a General Practice Residency at the
Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 1991.
He has maintained a full time practice in Greenville, North
Carolina since 1991, with his dental partners, Dr. Bill Lee, and Drs.
Holt and Taylor Humphreys. Dr. Fussell began his studies at the
renowned Pankey Institute in 1997 and has completed most of the
curriculum. He is a member of the Pankey Institute Alumni Association,
The Class One Triple Plus Club, and is a part of the Pankey Mentoring
Program. Dr. Fussell is also involved in a regional Pankey Study Club
to support his continuing drive for excellence in his practice of
dentistry. He has a passion for continuing education and is involved
in several additional organizations such as the American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Team for Implantology.
Dr. Fussell is privileged to have serve on the teaching faculty of the
UNC School of Dentsitry on a part-time basis, and is actively involved
in his profession by serving as Past President and current member of the Board of Trustees for the
Fifth District Dental Society. In 2000, he received The Commendation
Award from the North Carolina Dental Society for leadership
excellence. As a member of the Academy of Sports Dentistry, he serves
as team dental consultant for the Pirates of East Carolina
University. Dr. Fussell is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International.
He is married to his wonderful wife, Bobby, and they have one son and one daughter.
