Dr. Byrne graduated from the University of Maryland in 1978. He has served as a member of the Visiting Faculty of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education since 1990. He is Past President of the Maryland Academy of General Dentistry and has also served as a member of the National Dental Education Committee for the A.G.D. He received his Masters from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1994.  He is a member of the Dean’s Faculty at the University of MD School of Dentistry.  Denny has maintained a private practice in Baltimore with Dr. Nancy Ward, his partner and wife for 26 years.

Denny and his wife Nancy are very active within their church and community. Denny has served on several mission trips to Romania. Both Denny and Nancy are currently providing dental care in areas of need in Baltimore City. They are also committed to teaching other dentists in the dental community through local study groups and to teaching students at the University of Maryland Dental School. They have three children: Devon who is a dental student at the University of Maryland, Jed who is a senior at Clemson University, and Lucy who is attending Bryn Mawr High School.
