Biographical Information:
            Robert Cowie earned his B. A. in Zoology from DePauw University and his D.D.S. from Northwestern University. He is a member of the American Dental Association and numerous other professional associations, as well as a Fellow in the AGD and American College of Dentists. He has held several leadership positions, including president of the Jacksonville Dental Society. He has completed continuums at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, the Pankey Institute, and the Society for Occlusal Studies. He served as a visiting lecturer at Northwestern University and as an associate clinical Instructor at the University of Florida Dental School, Jacksonville Clinic. For more than 20 years he was on the staff of the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. Dr. Cowie and his long-serving team believe communication is the key to successful treatment. Starting with your initial visit, Dr. Cowie will take the time to talk with you about your previous dental experiences and about your expectations for your future dental care. Throughout your treatments, he and his staff will work with you to ensure that you understand your options and that you are ultimately satisfied with the way that your mouth looks and feels. Dr. Cowie has always provided care utilizing the latest technology and materials. His office was the first in Jacksonville to have intraoral fiberoptic cameras, and one of the first to utilize digital x-rays. Although cosmetic dentistry has gained a lot of publicity recently, Dr. Cowie has been enhancing patient’s smiles with porcelain veneers for over 18 years.
