Biographical Information:
For over thirty years In South Florida Dr. Segal has been providing dentistry customized to the discriminating needs of his patients. His wife of thirty-four years, Alyn, has been his hygienist for over twenty-five years. He has served as president of the North Dade Dental Society and North Dade Rotary Club International as well as Vice President of the local chamber of commerce. He is on the board of numerous dental organizations and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentistry, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
After earning his BS at Old Dominion University 1969 In Norfolk, Virginia (where he was recently awarded the status of distinguished alumnus) he attained his DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia.
He has lectured nationally to dentist on implants and comprehensive restorative dentistry and authored articles in dental journals on various topics.
A relaxed personal approach to what you as a patient want and need is discussed. He will offer options for your path to optimal dental health for a lifetime. Each patient is served on an individual basis with plenty of time for treatment and discussion at each visit to insure a comfortable, professional and personal relationship.
Alyn and Barry have raised four children in their current home of almost thirty years. Matthew (29), Adrienne (27), and Jaclyn (23) are out on their own now and Haley (17) is going on to college in 2006. Barry enjoys sailing, golf and his 200 gallon marine reef aquarium at home as spare time activities. Alyn is committed to optimal fitness and health through exercise that includes walking, running, biking and yoga with an emphasis on proper diet and nutrition.
