Biographical Information:
Dr. Tom Risbrudt received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1964. He served on the Visiting Faculty of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and currently instructs other dentists as Visiting Faculty at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He has also served on the on the Institute's Board of Directors. Dr. Risbrudt was profoundly influenced by Dr. L.D. Pankey, both personally and professionally. Dr. Pankey taught the importance of knowing yourself and your abilities as a health care practitioner, and, equally as important, knowing the unique circumstances, temperament, and objectives of each patient. Since 1975, our practice logo has been "Practicing on Purpose!" Therefore, our relationship with you, our patient is vital to us as a team. No one likes surprises, so we feel that thoroughness and comprehensiveness is paramount so you, the patient can know and prioritize the systematic treatment of your individual dental condition. Once a course of treatment is selected and performed, we are called to support you in your long term care and preservation of your dental investment. Dr. Tom has been active in the professional community for 41 years, actively supporting various study clubs in southern California and throughout the country, as well as actively mentoring other dentists. He has focused his extensive postgraduate study in the fields of esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, occlusion and TMJ therapy, implants, complex restorative dentistry, and health and nutrition. He and his wife Linda have been married for 41 years and have two children. They are now enjoying being "Nana and PaPa" to their four grandchildren.
