Biographical Information:
Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Smrecek received his dental degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1977. After serving in the Navy Dental Corps from 1977 to 1980 he opened a private practice in Newport Beach. To insure that patients receive the most advanced dental care available, Dr. Smrecek attends over 100 hours of continuing education in the latest dental technologies each year. This commitment to excellence earned him a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, where his is presently a candidate for a Mastership. With over 500 hours of advanced study on the Orthodontics/ Orthopedics with the United States Dental Institute, Dr.Smrecek offers uncommon expertise in tooth arrangemnt, jaw alignment and facial balance. He has also completed over 350 hours in post-doctoral training in restorative and reconstructive techniques at the LD Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and 140 hours at the Misch International Implant Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Presently Dr. Smrecek maintains a state of the art dental practice inthe Newport Center Medical Plaza, emphasizing preventative therapy a to maintain healthy smiles and the latest cosmetic and restorative techniques to rehabilitate deteriorated smiles and restore them to optimal health, function and beauty.
